Concept Educations and UTSAH launch Child Protection and Education Program in Guwahati

Concept Educations in association with UTSAH (Child Rights Agency) today launched the child Protection & Education Program for a new batch of underprivileged children and out-of-school children at Hafiznagar No. 2, Bamunimaidam in Guwahati. Every year this program is re-initiated to cater to a new group of out-of-school children. This is the second year of the program.
The child protection and study centre was inaugurated by Sri Virendra Mittal (lAS), Deputy Commissioner of Kamrup Metro. Representatives from UNICEF Assam, District Child Protection Unit, Childline Guwahati and Chandmari Police were also present in the inauguration ceremony.
Through this program, underprivileged children will be provided free education and child protection support. Teachers and facilitators have specially been appointed for this centre. Apart from the regular classes, the centre also has a lot of extra-curricular activities planned for the children.
















Speaking at the inauguration, Abhijit Dutta, CEO, Concept Educations said, “We have been educating children for over 10 years now and have been doing such activities along side. Our two year-old association with UTSAH gives us the confidence of carrying out this project in the best possible way that can benefit the children.”
Child Protection & Education Program is an informal study and child protection centre about which Gautam Saha, Director, Concept Educations said, “Our focus through this study centre is to impart basic education to students which will help them in their day-to-day life and enhance their protection. Education gives children a right direction and a sense of responsibility and knowledge to conduct themselves in the best manner.”
UTSAH, which has long been working for child rights, is glad about its association with Concept Educations. lts Executive Director, Miguel Das Queah said that since Concept Educations is well known for imparting quality educaticn, associating with them will help the marginalized children a great deal and expects that it will help change the lives of many.” Parnob Mukherjee, International theatre personality performed a mono act on the inaugural program. Also a song and dance performance was displayed by the children of Hafiznagar who have enrolled in the program.
